Probably one of the best mother's day ever. I spoke to my own sweet mother and had many memories of all the things my mother did for me.
When I was a little girl, she made all of my clothes including my coats. Times were hard so she would get old worn out suits, clothes and remake the good material into the most adorable outfits. I always felt like a princess and dressed like one. Not only did my mother make clothes for all 5 of her children but she cut our hair, gave us perms and taught us to work. We would have to get up early in the mornings to do chores. We had chores on week-ends too but when the chores were done, we would jump in the back of Dad's old truck and off we'd go; Fishing, camping, to Grandma Udy's (Hale now) ride horses, and generally have a blast as a family and extended family.
Thank you to my Sweet Mother... I love you.
Yesterday started out with a text from Karma, then while we were at church, Bob received a text from Koby telling us that Brock was on the phone. We ran home to talk to Brock (who is Sweden on a mission). I couldn't hold back the tears. His voice is tender and strong. I love that young man. I am so proud of him. I miss him so much. He was always happy and smiling when he was in our office. He has a genuine love and concern for others and it shows. I spoke to Koby briefly and he said he would call me later.
Konae called Saturday, we talked over an hour. Then she called again today. Konae is fun to talk to. She added photos of her kids on our site for me to look at and then took them off. She is coming, to be here for my surgery and I can hardly wait to see her. She is bringing Breck. Holy Cow Breck is so mannerly and kind. He is one of the best young men his age and I am so very lucky to be his Grandma. I miss all of the Hauser grandchildren.
Kami Su and Greg gave me the cutest apron and picture to hang on my wall. Kami Su is just like me when it comes to excitement about a present. She gave them to me on Saturday. Then yesterday about mid afternoon, the door bell rang and there stood Billy hollering, "Grandma, Grandma. Can I play your computer?". Billy has loved to play my computer since he was 2 (almost 3) and he is amazing. Uses the mouse, finds his own games etc.
Anyway, Kami Su and Greg came over. We threw on some hamburgers and had a quick lunch. Sky and Kami Su had aprons like the one they gave me, so we all wore our aprons. We looked like Triplets LOL.
Tyson called to tell me Happy Mother's day and said he might come over later(thank you Tyson). We were all in the basement watching a movie when the phone rang three times in a row. Mother called (calling me back) Koby called, and Kerina called. So there you have it. All of my children called to wish me a Happy Mothers Day. I love you Koby and Kerina.
Shortly after Kami Su and Greg left, Tyson and his family, Kori and her family, and Karma and her family came over. I cannot express my love for our darling little great grandchildren. Bo and Brady finally warmed up to me. I got to hold and snuggle Kamerie with kisses. Brinley is getting so big and McKade is just growing up to be a big helper and he is adorable. How can words express my love for my family? We took pictures and I hope I can upload some with this entry.
Kerina, thank you for the flowers you sent Mom. She loves them. Mom said they are the most beautiful she has ever received. Koby, thanks for letting us talk to Brock. We loved it.
