We are being so well cared for. The ward is still bringing in meals and I guess the meals will continue for another week.
Today has been a fun day. Jean Savage came over to see me. She just returned from a trip to Israel and is still on a spiritual high. I love Jean, she has always been so dear to my heart. We are as much like sisters as sisters can be.

Count my many blessings

It is Tuesday morning. I am well enough to sit at the computer and cry. I wonder when the tears let up? It is just so darn emotional to read your comments and imagine all of my children together and loving it.

Today I fixed my own oatmeal and cleaned up most of the mess. Your dad has been amazing. He hears a noise in the night and jumps to my side in a heart beat.

Monday was the most terrifying, peaceful, happy, blessed day of my life. Having all of you at the hospital and supporting your dad meant the world to me. Konae, having you home to help your dad was an answer to a prayer. We loved getting to know Breck better. What an amazing young man. He touched my heart with all of his hugs, kisses and sincere concern,Thank you Hausers.
It is Tuesday afternoon now. Sorry I couldn't handle the tears. I think I am okay now.
For me, Monday surgery was not nearly as bad as my mind had conjured up. (wouldn't recommend it though) The nurses and aids were all so very loving and helpful. I cannot think of one person who was not kind (except I heard one nurse was ornery with Karma and Kori). To me they were all angels.
The pain has been manageable and I can tell that I am getting stronger each day. I have had so many prayers offered in my behalf, and I can feel them and blessed because of them. I am so grateful for the priesthood blessing from Koby and Bob. Koby, the blessing was from your heart and I feel honored. It brought the much needed peace in my heart. Thank you.
Alec called ME on his birthday and told me that he had been up to bat during a championship baseball game. He thought about me and hit his first home run. They won the game (of course) Alec is so good at any sport.
I would like to tell you about another unexpected prayer on my behalf.
Billy Bird came in my room at the hospital with a Dr. mask over his face. He announced that he was the Doctor and would now make me better. I said "thank you Billy" and said "how are you going to make your grandma all better?" Billy's instant response was overwhelming. He immediately folded his arms, bowed his head and said, "Father in Heaven, please make my grandma all better and thank you for this beautiful day, in the name of Jesus Christ amen".
Now... with a family like ours, how could we not be blessed? Love to all.
Mom

Pictures to add to blog entry

Heres a few pictures.. She looked so beautiful before she went in, and you could just feel the strength from her! What a truly amazing person, I hope I can grow up to be JUST like her!

Okay.. I have to say that we have the biggest computer/phone nerd family EVER.. And I love it! hahaha
What a day! Love you all...
Brady was asking if he could go see Grandma Bonnie NOW, because he misses her...
Beau wants to go give her a hug!

A Day Full of Blessings

I can't even begin to express all the different feelings and emotions I felt today. What a day full of blessings. When mom came out of surgery and mustered up all the energy she possibly could, took a deep breath; which was so hard for her, and said "I love you guys", I could hardly stay standing on my feet. I felt so much LOVE I could have burst! I can't even tell you how much it meant to me to spend a day with my siblings. I hope our plan to make it happen more often and to bring us all closer together pans out!! I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for lunch Koby! It meant more to me to go to lunch with you guys than you'll ever know. I will hold it dear to my heart forever! How much better could the day have been? Mom is okay, we were all together... a bitter sweet day. I believe that mom made the decision in heaven to go through this day, just so all of us kids could remember how much we mean to each other and how much we LOVE each other. I LOVE you all!! Konae - come home!!!!! I miss you!
Oh yea, one more emotion, ANGER when that nurse told me to leave the room for crying!! LOL! :)

Sunday Pre-Surgery Luncheon

We all went to mom's church today. It was so nice and the spirit was great there. We missed you Karm, and those of you who couldn't make it. Mom taught in Relief Society, it was such a great lesson. She is really in her element when she is teaching. It was fun to just hang out and relax, we need to do it more. Billy loves his "friend" Alec. And Sky loved playing with Malloree. And Breck and Seth had fun on the rip-stick. Love you all, and mom good luck! Our prayers are with you.

Thankful

So it is Saturday night. I am looking forward to next Saturday night. It will be all over and I'll be home. It is terrible to have to wait for open heart surgery. It gives one way too much time to contemplate.
I have received so many well wishes, so many prayers, I am simply thankful. Last night, an agent (Rich Mesterheide) called to tell me to have a great week-end. He didn't know I was having surgery. He said he just wanted to tell me that I mean a great deal to him and he wanted me to know. He said I was a great Broker.
Yesterday, our Bishop called to tell me he was praying and that he loved having us in the ward.
I talked to Criss. I have been worried about Criss. It was a very hard Sunday for her last week. Mother's Day will always bring her some pain along with the joy.
Today I received a call from my sister Lucy; Then the mailman delivered a card from my beautiful sister Linda. I just can't name everyone without leaving someone out. I am so grateful for my most precious family and good friends. I especially am grateful for my Mother and Father.
Konae is almost here!! She is on the plane. Can you tell I am excited? Thank you to everyone. Thank you, Thank you. I love you. Wish I had a new photo to publish!!

Jacey Graduates??

I remember sweet little baby Jacey.  You are still very sweet, but not so baby.  I loved showing you off to my friends.  I remember when you were about 1 years old and you were so little, all my friends thought you were way younger.  I would put you down and you would take off walking, it was the cutest thing because you were so tiny.

When I got this invitation in the mail today I about died.  No way are you that old already?
Congrats Jacey, you are such a beautiful sweet girl, and you are going to be great at whatever you do.

I am bummed we won't be able to make it, but we'll be thinking about you.

By the way, will you post us some pictures of ya, and tell us what you are planning on doing?
Love ya Jacey.

Extended Mother's Day

Koby and Jen had us over for dinner tonight. We had such a wonderful evening. Jen fixed Chicken Noodle Soup, (home made noodles) rolls and a yummy strawberry salad. Maquell was so sweet helping in the kitchen. I'll bet Maquell will learn to cook as good as her mother. In case you didn't know, Maquell is in cosmetology school and is half way through.
Alec will soon be 12 so he had to eat and run to an interview with the Bishop. Can you believe Alec is almost 12? Seth was gone, doing a service project with the youth in his ward. He stopped by home for a minute to say hi. You should see how buff he is. Holy Cow! He is working out!! Malloree is simply an angel. She snuggles by my side and I love every second of it. After dinner we watched American Idol. GO DAVID ARCHULETA!!. Maquell served us strawberry short cake and we felt pampered. The Jackson Family gave me a book, a new one from Stephanie Meyer. I will have tons of time to read it while recouperating. Thank you Koby and Jen for making this such a fun night and for the wonderful dinner. We love you.
I wish I would have taken my camera for photos. I hope to get better at this as time goes by.

Dinner at Mom's

Kerina had a great idea to get together and eat on Sunday.  I put the feeler out and mom would love to do a BBQ at her house Sunday, the 18th around 1:00 pm.  You can ask mom if she needs anything for you to bring, or you can bring something hamburger related, or just a hungry tummy.

We all know how mom and probably most of us like things nice.  So let's just pick up and leave the house clean for mom, so she an relax when she gets home from surgery to a clean home.

Hopefully we can all go to mom's for lunch,  it will be fun to just hang out together.  And we can get more pictures from the blog when we're together :-).  I'm in  are you?

A Most Wonderful Mother's Day

Probably one of the best mother's day ever. I spoke to my own sweet mother and had many memories of all the things my mother did for me.

When I was a little girl, she made all of my clothes including my coats. Times were hard so she would get old worn out suits, clothes and remake the good material into the most adorable outfits. I always felt like a princess and dressed like one. Not only did my mother make clothes for all 5 of her children but she cut our hair, gave us perms and taught us to work. We would have to get up early in the mornings to do chores. We had chores on week-ends too but when the chores were done, we would jump in the back of Dad's old truck and off we'd go; Fishing, camping, to Grandma Udy's (Hale now) ride horses, and generally have a blast as a family and extended family.

Thank you to my Sweet Mother... I love you.

Yesterday started out with a text from Karma, then while we were at church, Bob received a text from Koby telling us that Brock was on the phone. We ran home to talk to Brock (who is Sweden on a mission). I couldn't hold back the tears. His voice is tender and strong. I love that young man. I am so proud of him. I miss him so much. He was always happy and smiling when he was in our office. He has a genuine love and concern for others and it shows. I spoke to Koby briefly and he said he would call me later.
Konae called Saturday, we talked over an hour. Then she called again today. Konae is fun to talk to. She added photos of her kids on our site for me to look at and then took them off. She is coming, to be here for my surgery and I can hardly wait to see her. She is bringing Breck. Holy Cow Breck is so mannerly and kind. He is one of the best young men his age and I am so very lucky to be his Grandma. I miss all of the Hauser grandchildren.

Kami Su and Greg gave me the cutest apron and picture to hang on my wall. Kami Su is just like me when it comes to excitement about a present. She gave them to me on Saturday. Then yesterday about mid afternoon, the door bell rang and there stood Billy hollering, "Grandma, Grandma. Can I play your computer?". Billy has loved to play my computer since he was 2 (almost 3) and he is amazing. Uses the mouse, finds his own games etc.

Anyway, Kami Su and Greg came over. We threw on some hamburgers and had a quick lunch. Sky and Kami Su had aprons like the one they gave me, so we all wore our aprons. We looked like Triplets LOL.

Tyson called to tell me Happy Mother's day and said he might come over later(thank you Tyson). We were all in the basement watching a movie when the phone rang three times in a row. Mother called (calling me back) Koby called, and Kerina called. So there you have it. All of my children called to wish me a Happy Mothers Day. I love you Koby and Kerina.

Shortly after Kami Su and Greg left, Tyson and his family, Kori and her family, and Karma and her family came over. I cannot express my love for our darling little great grandchildren. Bo and Brady finally warmed up to me. I got to hold and snuggle Kamerie with kisses. Brinley is getting so big and McKade is just growing up to be a big helper and he is adorable. How can words express my love for my family? We took pictures and I hope I can upload some with this entry.

Kerina, thank you for the flowers you sent Mom. She loves them. Mom said they are the most beautiful she has ever received. Koby, thanks for letting us talk to Brock. We loved it.

Little update on the Hauser Family

Hi everyone!!!
I am just so excited about this blog.. and I hope everyone else takes the time to stop in and keep us all updated on everything going on. It's like a big huge LIVE scrapbook!
VA is awesome! We love it here but, of course we miss all of you and that's the hardest part.
I have my days when I wonder what I was thinking but, I know that we made the best decision for our family at this point in our lives.
Breck is working at Zumiez in the mall here. It is the very first Zumiez to open in the entire state of VA. He got to help set up the store and open with them on grand opening. If it weren't for the fact that he's 17. He would be an assistant manager. He's gotten all the training and is the only one other than an actual manager allowed to run the registers. He loves it. He's made some good friends and spends most of his day when not working out skateboarding. The weather here is amazing!!! (minus the occasional rain) I was able to talk him into going to Youth Conference with Bryton this year. So.. Im pretty excited about that. He will only have a half day of school all next year and he will be graduating.. WOW!! Crazy sutff but.. other than Kami, I know you can all relate :o)
Bryton is doing great. We found a cosmetology school for her here which I am really excited about. It's nothing like the ones I went too. She has the freedom to pick and choose her own hours.. day by day if she chooses. Their main goal is to focus on working around the student's schedule and helping them graduate on their own time. There is no penalty for how long she chooses to take to make it through the program so she can go as fast or as slow as she wants. The hours to complete graduation here are only 1500 vs 2000 in Utah. Who know's I may even go get my licence just to say I have it.. since I have 1700 hours from Utah that I can transfer!
She is taking some tutoring classes this summer to help her get caught up with her academics and she is starting dance up again in August so she will have a full plate next year but, Im excited to keep her busy.
Bregan just started her first day of school yesterday. That was pretty interesting. She and I had a looooooooong talk about how friends here would be a bit different than friends in Utah. Chances of her finding friends here that are members of the church are slim to none so we had a long talk about how she can't just go ask someone if they are "mormon" not that she should have in Utah but.. that was the norm. So.. yesterday I asked her how school was and she said.. well.. I met lot's of friends who swear. (Not a suprise) however... she told me she was brave and asked them not to talk like that around her and they agreed. She is looking forward to summer. This will be her first year getting to go to girl's camp and Im excited that she has a big sister who will be there with her. Girls camp is close here, they don't take them far away. And they will be staying in cabins VS. tents that Bryton got last year. The girls both love our new ward and the young womens.
Brody is doing great.. I finally got all of his paperwork and things figured out we are just waiting for him to get a physical on Thursday of this week and then he will be able to start school. I got to meet his teacher and she seems AWESOME! She won teacher of the year last year and I've heard great things about her. He will get to be spoiled in his classroom. They have a full kitchen in the room and he only has 4 other kids in his class. They have a swimming pool so he will get to keep going swimming which he loves. Yesterday when I was leaving from dropping Bregan off at school, I got a phone call from Bryton and she was hysterical.. all I heard was blood and brody so I drove like a crazed women to get home. He had slipped in the shower and hit his head and split it open so.. off to the emergency room we went. He ended up with 2 staples in the back of his head.. poor little guy. But he's doing great thank goodness.
Well.. we have some pretty exciting news.. I kept hoping for the day it would come but, never thought it really would. Brandt.. is leaving his job of 9 years to run our business together. We've got July 5th set as his last day. He hasn't told Comcast yet, but my business is doing awesome and I'm picking up things quickly here in VA and other than the great benefits which will cost us a bit more to make up for my business will flourish even more with him here running it along side me. So.. were a little nerveous of course but, ready and excited and feel great about the decision we've made.
I booked tickets for Breck and I to fly out to Utah for moms surgery. We fly out Saturday night at 5pm and don't get in to Salt Lake until midnight. I'll be staying with a good friend in Riverton and hope to get to see you all while we are there. We fly home Thursday morning.
I didn't want to come alone and Breck wasn't about to pass up an offer to get to come back to Utah. We love & miss you all.
The Hauser's.

Sooo fun!

I kept trying to add a comment to the post with the pajama's but, either my computer was being dumb or, It just won't let me. MOM!!! Isn't this blog awesome!! ???
Happy Happy Happy Mother's day! Your jammies look so comfy! (Im jealous) What an awesome awesome gift!
I called today and left you a voicemail. I hope you got it.. Love you!!!! And see you soon!!!

Brandt, Konae & Kids..
XOXOXOX hugs and kisses!

OOPS! I'm learning.

Here are the pajamas. I thought they uploaded with my message. It is fun to learn this new stuff.

Early Mothers Day Suprise!

So today, Bob and I had plans to go to the Temple. Not long after we arrived home, the phone rang and UPS said "Where are you?" I wondered why in the heck UPS would be looking for us. Sometimes we get free gifts from AARP (American Association of Retired People)only to find it charged to our credit card. So I asked what they were trying to deliver and she said "something from Teddy Bear Company." In about 10 minutes our doorbell rang and UPS handed me a box. It was the funnest! Just like a kids Christmas. I opened this beautiful box to find the most amazing pair of pajamas and a door hanger that said "Unwinding". IT IS FROM KERINA AND FAMILY

There has to be some kind of connect in the universe that gives us what we want. Bob asked me last week what I would like him to get me for Mothers Day and I said all I wanted was a nice pair of pajamas to wear while recuperating from my surgery. Can you believe it? It is so wonderful the way things work. Bob definitely had not gone shopping for my pj's so, wah lah!. I hope you can see the photo I am attaching of the pajamas and the box they came in. They are from"Pajama Gram" and BJ is monogrammed above the pocket. They are so cute, I could wear them to the MALL. (I won't). THANK YOU KERINA (and Family) I love you all so much.
I want to wear them tonight but I will wait.

Overwhelming First Day of Blog

When I opened my email and read Kami Su's message about this blog, I hollered at Bob to come and look with me. We opened it, started reading while listening to the music, watching family photo's and we both lost it. I was a little worse than Bob, I cried so hard that when I called Kami Su to tell her thank you, I couldn't even talk. I kept saying "Boo Hoo." It can be overwhelming to old folks like us to have something like this. It not only seems impossible but it is so far above our heads as to the "how to", that we were both touched very deeply.

I can hardly wait to see more photo's added by each of you. It makes me just sit and cry to see your children, our grandchildren and great grandchildren. It makes one wonder how we could possibly blessed so richly.

I would have added a comment yesterday when I first saw this blog but I didn't know I could. This morning, I just thought I would experiment and here goes. Not sure if this will post. Perhaps I will learn to be more creative as time goes on. I love you all, and thank you Kami Su. =-)
